  • A golf tournament at Oakmont Country Club awarded trophies made with replacement mesh from a locker damaged by Wyndham Clark.
  • Clark destroyed the locker after missing the cut at the U.S. Open, leading to disciplinary action from the club.
  • The golfer has since paid for damages, made a charitable donation, and completed anger management sessions.
  • Clark expressed remorse for the incident and hopes to win back fans with his conduct.

The Spring Ringer at famed Oakmont Country Club in Pittsburgh presented one of the more unique prizes to its champions this year: a trophy that used some of the leftover mesh to repair the locker destroyed by Wyndham Clark at the 125th U.S. Open after he missed the 36-hole cut a year ago.

“They are adorable mini copies of our lockers. Everyone wanted to buy one, but sadly it had nothing to do with Wyndham,” said Oakmont’s pro emeritus Bob Ford, who played in the two-man team event with his son. “Members did joke that they should bash one of them in and send it to Wyndham.”
