WE HAVE A NEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR A NUMBER OF COUNTIES AND GOING TO IMPACT A NUMBER OF PEOPLE FOR ALLEGHENY, ARMSTRONG, BEAVER, BUTLER, AS WELL AS CLARION LAWRENCE, WASHINGTON AND WESTMORELAND. THAT’S A LOT OF THE AREA. AS WE TAKE A LOOK ACROSS THE BOARD HERE, YOU CAN SEE THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 415. IT IS THE BIG YELLOW BOX THAT YOU ARE SEEING THERE. AND AS WE ZOOM IN, YOU’LL BE ABLE TO SEE THE TOWNS THAT ARE BEING IMPACTED BY THIS. I’VE TAKEN THE LIGHTNING OFF, BUT NUMEROUS LIGHTNING STRIKES WITH THESE CELLS THAT ARE MOVING THROUGH. YOU CAN SEE THE HEAVY RAIN THAT IS PUSHING THROUGH THE AREA. PLACES LIKE PITTSBURGH GETTING READY TO SEE SOME OF THIS HEAVY RAIN MOVE INTO YOUR LOCATION. NOW, THIS IS GOING TO BE A COUPLE OF MINUTES AHEAD OF THAT TIME YOU’RE SEEING THERE. SO PENNSBURY VILLAGE, YOU’RE LOOKING AT ABOUT 325 FOR THIS TO MOVE IN OR BASICALLY HERE IN JUST A COUPLE OF MINUTES, ABOUT 325 FOR HEIDELBERG THORNBURG AT ABOUT 325. ALSO, THAT’S THE CASE FOR CARNEGIE, CRAFTON AND INGRAM JUST A COUPLE MINUTES AFTER THAT. AND THOSE TOWNS ARE THE ONES THAT ARE GOING TO BE IMPACTED BY THIS. AND UP NORTH, AS WE GO TOWARDS THE CRANBERRY AREA, WE ARE GOING TO BE SEEING THIS CELL THAT IS MOVING UP VERY HEAVY RAIN, AND THIS IS GOING TO IMPACT AREAS LIKE MARS. CURRENTLY, SEVEN FIELDS, CALLERY, VALENCIA, ALL THOSE AREAS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN THAT IS COMING DOWN AT THIS TIME. AND AGAIN, SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING WITH THIS CELL THAT IS MOVING THROUGH THAT WILL BE IN EFFECT UNTIL 415. THE CELL MOVING TO THE EAST AT 30MPH. AS WE TAKE A LOOK A LITTLE CLOSER, LOOK HERE AGAIN, YOU’LL BE ABLE TO SEE THAT WE DO HAVE SOME SHOWERS THAT ARE ALSO THUNDERSTORM THAT IS ALSO TAKING PLACE DOWN TO THE SOUTH TOWARDS THE WAYNESBURG AREA. THIS IS A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 4:00. AGAIN, THE PRIMARY THREATS FROM BOTH OF THESE STORMS ARE GOING TO BE 60 TO 70 MILE PER HOUR WINDS, ESPECIALLY THAT CELL UP TO THE NORTH, MOVING THROUGH MARS RIGHT NOW AND HEADING FOR PITTSBURGH AND WASHINGTON. VERY STRONG WIND GUSTS. WITH THAT WAYNESBURG, YOU CAN SEE THE HEAVY RAIN. LIGHTNING STRIKES WITH THAT AS WELL. WARNING THAT’S MOVING THROUGH. THAT’S HEADING TOWARDS UNIONTOWN AS WELL AS FARMINGTON.
