Scattered showers lash Hyderabad on August 30

A bright and sunny afternoon gave way to overcast skies and scattered rainfall across several parts of Hyderabad on Sunday, with showers continuing into the evening.

Rainfall began in several areas after noon, with parts of AS Rao Nagar, Nacharam, Mallapur, Tarnaka, Secunderabad and Begumpet receiving intermittent showers. While the rain was not heavy, it continued across different parts of the city. After 6 p.m., the intensity of the showers increased, with rainfall also reported from areas including Kukatpally and Madhapur.

According to data from Telangana Development Planning Society, as of 7 p.m., Malkajgiri recorded rainfall of 13.5 mm followed by 13.5 mm in Mettuguda, 6.3 mm in Keesara, 5.3 mm in Chintal, 5.3 mm in Kompally, 5.3 mm in Alwal, 5 mm in Gajularamam and 4.8 mm in Allwyn Colony.
