Despite this activity, the stock has faced consecutive losses over the past week and is trading below key moving averages, indicating a challenging market environment.

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (POWERGRID) has experienced a significant increase in open interest (OI) today, reflecting notable activity in the stock. The latest OI stands at 86,928 contracts, up from the previous OI of 77,657, marking a change of 9,271 contracts or an 11.94% increase. The trading volume for the day reached 64,165 contracts, indicating robust participation in the market.
Despite this surge in OI, the stock has underperformed its sector, declining by 0.69% today. Over the past five days, POWERGRID has faced consecutive losses, with a total decline of 8.33%. The stock touched an intraday low of Rs 270, down 3.24%, and is currently trading below its 5-day, 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages.

In terms of liquidity, the stock remains accessible for trading, with a delivery volume of 1.86 crore on November 4, reflecting a 126.24% increase compared to the 5-day average. The company, operating in the power sector, holds a market capitalization of Rs 2,51,767.35 crore. Overall, the increase in open interest amidst a challenging trading environment highlights the dynamic nature of POWERGRID’s market activity.
