Television actor Priya Marathe, widely remembered for playing Varsha in Pavitra Rishta, passed away at the age of 38. According to a report by Marathi.indiatimes.com, the actor died at her Mira Road residence around 4 am on Sunday. She had been undergoing treatment for cancer for over two years. Priya is survived by her husband, actor Shantanu Moghe.
Priya Marathe’s Journey From Marathi Serials to Hindi TV
Priya began her acting career with the Marathi serial Ya Sukhano Ya and later gained recognition with Char Divas Sasuche. She made her Hindi television debut with Kasamh Se, portraying Vidya Bali, before becoming a household name as Varsha in Pavitra Rishta, alongside Ankita Lokhande.
The actor also entertained audiences with appearances in Comedy Circus, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (as Jyoti Malhotra), and Tu Tithe Me. In 2017, she joined the popular daily soap Saath Nibhaana Saathiya as Bhavani Rathod. Priya was also seen in Uttaran, Savdhaan India, Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, and Aata Hou De Dhingana.

Priya tied the knot with actor Shantanu Moghe in April 2012, and the couple later worked together in the historical series Swarajyarakshak Sambhaji. Over nearly two decades, she built a respected reputation in both the Marathi and Hindi television industries.
