Snow could be heavy at times through Monday morning, mainly south.
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Lake snow has shifted south and will stay mainly east of the lake into Saturday night, with heavy snow at times. Then we will see more lake snows east and southeast of the lake during Sunday.

A Lake Effect Snow Warning is in effect for southern Erie, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties until 7 a.m. Monday. 4 to 7 inches of snow likely, with 8 to 12 inches possible under the heaviest snow bands over the higher terrain mainly, east of Lake Erie.
The snow will also come with gusty winds 30 to 35 mph, causing blowing and drifting snow. Travel in this area could be very difficult at times with snow covered roads and poor visibility.
A Weather Impact Alert has been issued for areas south for over the weekend in the lake effect snow areas.
