With the bases loaded and two outs, a wild pitch instigated a Nevada attempt to steal home. Caiden Trent secured the ball quicker than expected, resulting in a game of pickle that ended with the third out of the inning. Nevada has its largest lead of the day after a two-run inning.

Payton Hinsen came in to pitch for Nevada, and he got the job done. Walker Osborne flew out to short center field as Ohio left three runners stranded. Though not the end to the inning West Side fans would’ve hoped for, it was still an encouraging inning with the offense cutting into the deficit.

Bob Frazier follows his great inning on the mound with a critical RBI single. He drove home Bryson Williams from third base, giving Ohio its second run of the day. Jack McAdams nearly hit a three-run homer that just turned foul, but ended up walking to load the bases with two outs on the board.

Despite the heated mound visit, Nevada’s defense was still locked in. They secured a fly out against Hudson Vonderheide, then turned a double play on a Boone Treadway ground ball. Nevada now back up to the plate.

Though it took longer than it has all tournament, West Side finally drew a walk to open the third. Frustration seems to be coming into play for Nevada as Guzman opened the next at-bat with two balls. In a mound visit Nevada’s coach asked his players, “how many days have we been together?”
The answer given? “Too many!”

The pitching change didn’t have the desired outcome for West Side. Nevada hit four singles and drove home five runs before Bob Frazier was able to strike out James Esber. West Side’s resolve will be tested as they try to shake off a disheartening bottom of the second.

Bob Frazier was in a tough spot with a 3-0 count for his first pitch of the day and he gave up a walk to Adrian Cruz. A sacrifice bunt moved runners to scoring positions but importantly put a second out on the board. Nevada’s Michael Guerrero was hit by pitch, loading the bases.
That brought up Carsynn Meyer, the girl making history in this U.S. Final. She delivered an RBI single to stretch the Mountain Region’s lead to three runs.

Nevada’s Jace Ward started the inning by taking a walk. Two batters later, a Michael Kleiner single put two on and a wild pitch moved the runners into scoring position.
Maddox Bryan delivered a single to deep right field which allowed Nevada to score the two baserunners. Still only one out as West Side looks to get out of the inning.

Finn Dykes hit a single after the scored run, but a dropped third strike on the next plate appearance turned into out No. 3 to end the inning. After letting Nevada’s offense score first, West Side responded with three hits and a tying run.

Bob Frazier got the West Side bats going in the second with a single to right field, then Xander Kinkade followed suit with a single to short center. With just one out, Walker Osborne hit into a near-double play which got away from the first baseman. That gave Frazier enough time to score the tying run.

Catcher Boone Treadway returned the ball to Josiah Infante a bit too high, and the error allowed Guzman to score the opening run.
West Side quickly recovered, getting a fielder’s choice and double-play in succession to end the inning. Ohio is playing from behind for the first time at the World Series.

Ohio has managed it’s pitching staff well throughout the World Series with five pitchers available for the U.S. Finals. It will be the big man Josiah Infante getting the start today. Infante is the biggest player in the tournament at 6-foot-1 and a tough pitcher to face. He’s thrown five innings across three games, striking out six and allowing just two hits.

Looking back at Hamilton West Side’s road to U.S. Finals

Hamilton West Side is playing in the U.S. Finals for the second time in program history, but they took a hard road to get here.
In their first game of the tournament they fell to Nevada, 6-5, on a heartbreaking walk-off single. Where Nevada then only needed to win two more games to set up a rematch, Ohio had to win five consecutive elimination games to stay alive.
Though the schedule was tough, West Side never looked any worse for wear. They blasted their Elimination Bracket opponents, putting up more runs than any team in the tournament. Their small-ball style has consistently buried opponents in the early innings.

Hamilton West Side overcoming luck with hard work

Fans watching Hamilton West Side’s run through the Little League World Series may have noticed something peculiar. In each of Ohio’s six previous games Hamilton has been the visitors on the scoreboard, and they’ll be batting first once again against Nevada.
That’s because manager Tim Nichting has lost seven coin flips in a row. At this point, Hamilton has learned to turn their bad luck into opportunity. West Side has scored first against every opponent in this tournament.

Curaçao moves on to World Series Championship

It’s been a dominant run for Curaçao in this World Series and it’s continuing to the Championship game on Sunday. Curaçao beat Japan in the International Final, 4-0, to reach the final game of the tournament. The team only allowed three runs all tournament with some of the best pitching in the field.
Curaçao will play the winner of Ohio and Nevada tomorrow at 3 p.m. Japan will play in the third place game at 10 a.m.

Ohio seeks first U.S Championship

Hamilton West Side has been here before, but a win would put Ohio in uncharted territory. No team from Ohio has ever won the U.S. Finals of the Little League World Series, which West Side could do with a win against Nevada. West Side has reached the U.S. Finals once before, losing to Michigan in 2021.
While a new team is representing the state, Nevada was here just last year. A Nevada team from Las Vegas won the U.S. Championship before falling to Chinese Taipei in the World Series in 2025.

Nevada girl making World Series history

As Ohio gets set for a rematch with Nevada in the U.S. Finals, one Nevada outfielder is making history. Carsynn Meyer of Nevada will become the first girl to play in the U.S. Final since the tournament adopted its current format in 2011.
While Alabama’s Kinley Rasmus became the face of the tournament as she set nearly every girls record at the World Series, Meyer has quickly become a celebrity in her own right. She’s conducted countless interviews and been swarmed with requests for autographs.
