The Connecticut Sun are on the road Friday night as they travel to take on the Phoenix Mercury in an interconference matchup.

In Tuesday’s victory over the Fire, Aaliyah Edwards led the way for the Sun as she recorded 21 points, eight rebounds and three assists off the bench while Brittney Griner added 20 points, four rebounds and six assists of her own.
The Sun will try to grab another victory Friday as they face off against a struggling Mercury team on the road.
Phoenix enters Friday’s contest with an 8-17 record after losing on the road to the Minnesota Lynx Monday night, which marked their fourth consecutive loss.

Kahleah Copper led the way for the Mercury in Monday’s loss as she ended the game with 26 points and three rebounds while Alyssa Thomas recorded 19 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Friday night’s matchup, each may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Phoenix has listed Mack as doubtful due to a left foot injury and she is expected to miss her eighth straight game.

The Mercury have listed Sami Whitcomb as questionable due to left knee injury management while Kyara Linskens has been listed as probable and is expected to play despite dealing with a right knee injury.
