WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Turning Point USA’s Erika Kirk and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt are set to make an appearance next month at George Washington University.
The event, scheduled for Thursday, April 2, at 6:30 p.m., will kick off the spring leg of the “This is the Turning Point USA Tour.” As part of the tour, guests will join TPUSA CEO Erika Kirk to speak at college campuses around the country.
“Each stop is a chance to honor Charlie’s mission and keep the fight alive. We know he wouldn’t want us to surrender or be coerced into silence. Free speech is only free if we use our voices,” the organization wrote on the GWU event’s webpage.

The spring tour comes months after Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and close ally of President Donald Trump, was assassinated during an event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.
The 31-year-old’s death sparked discussions regarding the prevalence of political violence in American culture and led to further discourse regarding free speech on social media platforms, as numerous workers were fired for their public comments on his death.
In September, GWU temporarily increased security after a Mount Vernon campus employee shared a comment about Charlie Kirk on social media, prompting threatening communications from non-university individuals, according to a previous statement from the school.
The event will be hosted by GWU’s TPUSA chapter.
