Chris Pratt is revealing what his father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger gave him and his family for Christmas.
Pratt, 46, appeared on the The Graham Norton Show on Friday, Jan. 9 as he promotes his new movie Mercy. During his stop to the the U.K.-based late night show, he noted that Schwarzenegger, 78, gave him and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger a custom holiday-themed painting when host Graham Norton asked about spending Christmas with the iconic action star.
“His love language is giving gifts, that’s for sure. He just goes all out with his gifts,” Pratt said. “This year, one was like a six foot by eight foot portrait painting of all three of my children and him as Santa Claus, and it’s very lifelike and it’s very big and it’s him as Santa Claus and then the three kids peeking around the Christmas tree seeing him eat a cookie.”
“Yeah, I’m not sure exactly what we’re supposed to do with that for the rest of the year,” he added, when Norton, 62, pointed out that a Christmas-themed painting won’t necessarily suit home decorations all year round. “I think we’ll have to break that out in November sometime. It’s big, it’s in a frame and it’s a big massive [painting].”

Pratt has been married to Schwarzenegger’s oldest daughter Katherine, 36, since 2019. The couple share three kids, including daughters Lyla Marie, 5, and Eloise Christina, 3, as well as son Ford, whom they welcomed in November 2024. (Pratt shares his oldest son Jack Pratt, 13, with his ex-wife Anna Faris.)
“It was a very thoughtful gift, and he also gave me a pair of crocodile boots that he wore in a movie — we have the same size feet,” Pratt added of Arnold’s Christmas gifts on The Graham Norton Show.

These can stay,” he wrote in a caption, as he posted a photo of a coffee mug with an image of Jesus saying “I saw that,” as well a copy of early 20th century president Theodore Roosevelt’s book Outdoor Pastimes of an American Hunter and physical copies of scripts for his recent television series and movies, including Mercy, Garfield and The Terminal List.
