@Caylor.atx typically posts fishing content, but on August 31, he went viral for saving a tuxedo cat who was stuck and nearly drowning in the river. The fisherman rescued the cat after hearing meowing coming from a tree along the riverbank, and little did he realize that he’d just met his new best friend.
The odd part was that someone tried to warn him about the cat in the tree! He assumed they meant a catfish was stuck on some fishing line, but everything changed when he heard the rescue cat calling for help.
Thank goodness he heard that abandoned kitty‘s cries! That poor cat was practically treading water by the time the fisherman’s kayak came close enough for her to jump in, but she made it in the nick of time.
Viewers agree that this tiny tuxedo cat, who may actually be a kitten, must have spent time with people at some point. @Raleighsinger commented, “That kitten has 1000% interacted with humans before probably dumped,” and I hate to admit it, but she’s probably right.
Not only did the black and white cat understand that the fisherman was there to help, but she also sought him out for comfort from the moment she climbed into the boat. It was crystal clear from the moment they met that she was meant to be his cat!
Bringing Home a Rescue Cat
The next day, this fisherman’s viewers got the most heartwarming update: the rescue cat was home! His entire family welcomed the kitten into their home as if she’d always belonged there, and she already fits right in.
It was meant to be! Just 24 hours before, the stray kitten was left to fend for herself in a life-threatening situation, but now, she’s spoiled rotten. She has a warm bed, delicious food, and all the love in the world.
I wish every rescue kitten’s story ended this way! It’s a miracle that @ctaylor.atx was in the right place at the right time to hear her calls for help, and I hope this video inspires others to keep an eye and ear out for animals in need as well.
