Paramount Pictures has released a new action-packed trailer for Brad Pitt’s Heart of the Beast. The film will follow Pitt and a combat dog fighting for survival in the Alaskan wilderness. Directed by David Ayer, the upcoming survival thriller pits the duo against brutal terrain and wild predators.
Previous trailers have shown Pitt with the dog on screen, along with a video showing the off-screen bond between the actors. In the film, Pitt is working with a dog named Uber, a Belgian Malinois who plays Odin on screen. “Odin is the star of the film,” said Pitt in a recent promotional featurette.

The trailer starts with Pitt’s character, Belmont, bonding with his combat dog Odin. Several shots of Belmont and Odin on a battlefield follow, with both protecting each other. Following that, both take a seaplane over the Alaskan wilderness, with Belmont noting that it’s time his dog knows peace after years of serving in the military.
Unfortunately, the plane crashes, stranding both of them in the jungle. The following shots show both of them fighting various foes, including a wild wolf in a cave, crossing ravines, and dealing with other issues. Belmont tells Odin that he’ll get them home.
David Ayer returns with Brad Pitt in Heart of the Beast
Heart of the Beast will be Pitt and Ayer’s second collaboration after 2014’s Fury. Both the movie’s trailers deal with the military involved in the action. The latter is Ayer’s only feature film in 2026, following last year’s A Working Man. Pitt will be seen next in The Adventures of Cliff Booth, reprising the titular role from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Heart of the Beast stars Pitt, J.K. Simmons, Anna Lambe, and the dog Uber. Ayer directs from a screenplay written by Cameron Alexander.
Heart of the Beast releases on September 25, 2026, in several formats, including Dolby Cinema.
