WI 58/1 (24) vs SL 549/9 d (John Campbell 31(77) Kavem Hodge 6(41)) | West Indies vs Sri Lanka, 2nd Test, Sri Lanka tour of West Indies 2026 Live Cricket Stream, live scores, ball-by-ball commentary, highlights, videos, news, and more in USA & Canada

In reply, Brandon King and John Campbell made a confident start, negotiating the new ball well until King edged an away swinger from Asitha Fernando to second slip. Campbell has looked positive though, scoring freely whenever the opportunity has presented itself, while Kavem Hodge has been more watchful, taking his time to get accustomed to the conditions. He also rode his luck late in the day, surviving two chances as Sonal Dinusha spilled a catch at fine leg before Udara shelled another opportunity at first slip. Milan Rathnayake was the bowler who created both those chances, but was unlucky twice. The pitch continues to be a good batting surface and the West Indies will be hoping to build on the encouraging start to their innings. Having shown in the previous Test that they can post substantial totals, the hosts will believe they have the batting depth and familiarity with the conditions to produce another strong response. Day 3 promises to be another fascinating chapter in this contest. Do join us tomorrow!
