New York clinched a berth in the June 30 Commissioner’s Cup final with an 86-64 drubbing of the visiting Washington Mystics on Sunday, winning its seventh straight game in the process. Sydney Taylor scored 30 points in 21 minutes off the bench for Chicago while Diggins dropped 21 points and Azura Stevens finished with 10 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
Stewart averages 19.9 points for the Liberty, who are 5-0 in Cup play. Jonquel Jones gets 13.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Chicago, 1-4 in Cup competition, gets averages of 15.2 points and 4.3 assists from Diggins while Kamilla Cardoso posts 12.1 points and 8.6 boards per game.
