SASTRA releases engineering admission rank list

R. Abhinav of Chennai emerged on top in the engineering admissions rank list of SASTRA Deemed University for the academic year 2026-27 under both Stream 1 and 2 of admissions, with a Class XII score of 97.8% and JEE Main Score of 99.6909.

Over 37,000 students from all over India registered for the engineering admissions of the institution. Admissions to 50% of seats is done under Stream 1 based on Class XII aggregate and JEE Main scores and for the remaining 50% seats under Stream 2 based on Class XII aggregate scores. SASTRA provides 20% of seats for students from Tiruchi and Thanjavur besides special provision for students from North Eastern States, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar & Lakshadweep.

Counselling and admission related updates are available at www.sastra.edu with classes for the 2026 batch beginning on August 3, said SASTRA Vice-Chancellor S.Vaidhyasubramaniam in a press release.
