Real Madrid star, the French international Ferland Mendy, suffered an injury during his team’s match against Espanyol, which is part of the 34th round of the Spanish League.
Mendy’s injury occurred in the 10th minute of the match without any contact with the opposing players, during one of the plays in his possession, where he fell to the ground in pain.
The medical staff immediately intervened to treat the player who appeared significantly affected by the injury, before it became clear that he was unable to continue the match due to an injury to his right leg.
The technical staff was forced to substitute the player in the 14th minute, with Fran Garcia coming in for him, marking coach Álvaro Arbeloa’s first substitution of the match.
