CSK Duo Sarfaraz Khan, Anshul Kamboj Recreate Viral ‘Zero Civic Sense’ Meme
Chennai Super Kings cricketers Sarfaraz Khan and Anshul Kamboj shared a funny moment in the build-up to the 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League. In a video shared by the popular franchise on Tuesday, March 10, Sarfaraz and Kamboj recreated the viral meme featuring the line ‘zero civic sense’.
As Sarfaraz and Kamboj met for one of the photoshoots ahead of IPL 2026, the flamboyant Mumbai and India batter was seen posing for pictures in front of the camera. Just then, Kamboj ruined his click by coming across in the background and posing sideways to a different camera at the shoot. Both players were wearing the vibrant yellow jersey of the Chennai Super Kings franchise.
Moments after he spotted Kamboj at the back, Sarfaraz appeared miffed with his teammate and funnily quipped to the camera, “Zero civic sense! Zero civic sense!!” The video ended with the two players looking at each other and Kamboj carrying a sheepish smile.
What stood out was how fit and fresh Sarfaraz was looking after undergoing extensive work on his physique in the recent months, shedding the fat he was criticised for. A bumper scoring right-hander for Mumbai, he polarised opinions about his fitness status and weight.
Having compiled a truckload of runs in first-class cricket for Mumbai, Sarfaraz made a successful international debut with half-centuries in Rajkot and Dharamshala during India’s 4-1 Test series win over England in early 2024. The earnest cricketer also registered his maiden Test hundred for India in Bengaluru against New Zealand before successive failures in Pune and Mumbai led to his axing.
The 28-year-old is currently pushing for a return to the Test scene, making 429 runs in seven matches of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season at an average of 53.62. He was bought by CSK at the IPL 2026 auction for Rs 75 lakh after hammering 329 runs at a strike-rate of over 200 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20.
As for Kamboj, being retained by the CSK management would’ve come as a great source of motivation and confidence. The young Haryana seamer made his Test debut for India last year during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in England after his impressive performances in first-class cricket.
