Wizards vs. Heat Injury Report: Will Tyler Herro, Trae Young Play?

The Miami Heat are at home on Tuesday night as they host the Washington Wizards in an Eastern Conference matchup.

Miami enters Tuesday’s game with a 36-29 record after defeating the Detroit Pistons at home on Sunday night.

In Sunday’s victory over the Pistons, Bam Adebayo led the way for the Heat as he recorded 24 points, nine rebounds and six assists while Tyler Herro added 25 points, six rebounds and three assists of his own.

Now Miami will try to grab another victory at home on Tuesday as they face off against a struggling Wizards team.

On the other side, Washington enters Tuesday’s contest with a 16-47 record after losing on the road to the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night.

Tre Johnson led the way for the Wizards in Sunday’s loss as he ended the game with 20 points and four rebounds while Trae Young recorded 17 points, four rebounds and eight assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Tuesday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Wizards Injury Report: Will Trae Young Play?

For the Wizards, they have five players listed on their injury report for Tuesday, including Young.

Washington has ruled out Young due to injury management as he will miss his first game since returning from an MCL sprain and quad injury on March 5.

With Young sidelined, Johnson, Bub Carrington and Will Riley could all be in line for increased roles.

The Wizards have also ruled out Kyshawn George due to a left elbow sprain that is expected to keep him out for at least two more weeks.

Jamir Watkins is also out due to a left ankle and foot sprain as he will miss his fourth consecutive contest.

Anthony Davis and Cam Whitmore have also been ruled out as they continue to recover from injuries while D’Angelo Russell remains away from the team.

Heat Injury Report: Will Tyler Herro, Andrew Wiggins Play?

On the other side, the Heat have six players listed on their injury report, including both Herro and Andrew Wiggins.

Miami has listed Herro as questionable with left quadriceps soreness and he is in danger of missing his first game since February 11.

If Young is sidelined, Pelle Larsson, Dru Smith and Kasparas Jakucionis could all be in line for increased roles.

The Heat have ruled out Wiggins due to a left big toe injury as he will miss his third consecutive contest.

With Wiggins sidelined, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Myron Gardner could both continue to have larger roles.

Norman Powell has also been ruled out due to a right groin strain as he will miss his sixth straight game and there is still no timetable for his return.

Nikola Jovic has also been ruled out due to a lingering back injury while Terry Rozier remains away from the team.

Kel’el Ware has been listed as questionable due to a right shoulder strain while Simone Fontecchio is listed as probable and is expected to return from a three-game absence due to a groin strain.
