John Mellencamp is hitting the road this summer, and he’s bringing his greatest hits along with him.

John Mellencamp performs during Farm Aid on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, in Noblesville, Ind.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will perform at Pine Knob on July 16 as part of his “Dancing Words — The Greatest Hits” tour. The tour will see him performing all of his most beloved tunes — songs like “Jack and Diane,” “Pink Houses,” “Small Town,” “Hurts So Good,” “Authority Song,” “R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.” and “Wild Nights” — for the first time in a long time.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 23 via Ticketmaster. Presale tickets are available through Citi and begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Mellencamp’s 19-date tour kicks off at Grand Rapids’ new Acrisure Amphitheater July 10 and runs through Aug. 12 in Mountain View, California. See the full list of tour dates below.

The tour was announced alongside an accompanying video, which features Mellencamp and Sean Penn. Watch it here:

Mellencamp’s last local performance was at Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival in September 2024 at Pine Knob.
